Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie – the small fittings for the visors continue to be attended to. Those poor condition items are being brought back from the brink. The rain guards have been fitted temporarily until the exact small fixings to complete the task are machined. The hull is now complete externally save for some small details (see the Xmas card!)
Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie – the 3.5 litre Horch V8 engine is coming along. Accessories for the block are being machined. The water pump is already in hand. The dipstick is to be sourced. The engine and the visor detail is being covered in our Inside Track online magazine.
Research now is moving on the exterior bins and wait for it….the headlamps! We will shortly have good news in this area and will publish all developments in Inside Track.
The team has left for the Christmas holidays as of Monday evening and will be returning first thing on the 4th January. There is the strong chance that we will ask them to spend another week until the 1tth January at home if the current Covid 19 rise does not ease. We have to be careful here in our Tier 4 region.
