The fenders for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie are now complete. All that remains is to rivet them to their supports. This will begin once we get the correct rivets in hand for the task.
The painting of the Sockel Pedestal Mount for the KwK 38 is also complete. We have now started to assemble it. This will progress significantly next week with the team now available for the task.
The bumpers are also under attention. The sections which fit the bumper to the chassis are being fabricated from 5mm thick steel, in order to match the original items we have in our possession. This will then match the original items we have in our possession. The bumpers themselves will be next. Different construction methods for the bumpers between the Ausf.A and Ausf.B le.Pz.Sp.Wg.
The dashboard for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie and updated Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie is also progressing. This involves fitting the original instruments into the trial dashboard built to exact dimensions. There was a short scare yesterday when we discovered one of the fittings was incorrect. This has been resolved and will be built into the finished item next week.
All work ground to a halt on Friday with a major power cut due to Storm Eunis. Many trees were blown down over the weekend and power only resumed today. The afternoon from midday on Friday was spent servicing vehicles with the VW166 Schwimmwagen, Willys Jeep, Zundapp KS 750, Stoewer R180Z Special all receiving attention, being started and allowed to run while being finetuned.
