The drawings continue for the second Jagdpanther. The drawings for the missing sections for the chassis sides will be completed in 2 days. The focus thereafter will be the AutoCAD attention on the superstructure. The current discussion is whether we machine the chassis sections prior to assembly or line bore the suspension arm ports in line with the internal bushes in the cross members. Serious debate!
The Zundapp KS750 is taking shape. The engine is now back in the frame. The rims have been blasted and primed ready for final painting when the tyres are fitted once again. We are researching the alternatives for conserving the paint work on the side car boat whilst getting rid of the rust. More of the original parts arrive next week from Germany.
The optic mounts for the Hotchkiss M1914 of the Renault FT are being machined. The drawings were finished prior to Christmas but the machining and fabrication of these components is expected to take two weeks or so. We are still awaiting the return of a machined base for the Hotchkiss M1914 to allow fitting into the turret and holding the newly made magazine drum. This will all be covered in Inside Track when wer at the point of installing the components.
