The Renault FT hull has been stripped completely. The large panels have been sent to the sand blasting and two pack primer. We have kept all of the small panels and internal ribs back for blasting and priming here at the Weald Foundation facilities (see image). The CAD drawings have been completed for the machining work that is required for the Renault FT and TSF. This will be drafted up next week for distribution to our various sub contractors for the items that we won’t be producing ourselves. We have been chasing up our suppliers at the foundries and the various engineering firms to arrange a pick up of all of these items in two weeks.
We have managed to acquire two very special items, one – the MG34 top cover as used in the Sd.Kfz 223 3 Serie and the doppeltrommel PT34 for that very top cover. Both are in good condition given their age.
