The Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie is progressing well. All that is left of the exterior for now is one more headlamp stand. The interior work is planned for week after next. The Sd.Kfz.223 of TWC is currently having the fenders rivetted to their frames. The anti slip strips will be rivetted on to the fenders thereafter. Next week will see the missing rear RHS frame antenna stand fabricated in readiness for the rear frame antenna support which needs to be machined. This part was missing and is quite unique for the Sd.Kfz.223 survivors.
Servicing and maintenance continues for the Foundation’s driving collection. The Willys has now passed inspection as has the Horch Kfz 21, the 1 ton Zugmaschine ‘Demag’ and the R180W Stoewer are currently under the spotlight.
