The slow and careful project of removing, cleaning and checking all of the internal components of the JFF 52 carburettors for Jagdpanther 411 is nearly there. The smoking issue from one exhaust has been resolved and all that now remains is to remove the intermittent popping in the exhaust as well. This is to be finally sorted on Monday.
The Sd.Kfz.223 of TWC is receiving prolonged attention. The missing rear engine hatch is now complete with all fittings. The firewall centre section including the mesh, frame and base with slot hatches is now complete. The first of the production batches of the Riemann headlamps is in hand. The next are being produced and will be fitted to our Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie.
The antenna hoist casing with winding handle and shaft are ready for both the TWC example and our Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie. The additional small fittings including worm and wheel need to be fitted. The antenna hoist mechanism will not be fitted until the hulls are blasted and painted and the MG pedestal mounts are installed.
