The left hand firewall side panels for both the Weald’s and TWC Sd.Kfz.223, floor and MG pedestal of the TWC Sd.Kfz.223 have forged ahead. Central firewall frame with mesh have been fitted in both Sd.Kfz.223. The seats continue to in focus – identifying two correct examples for both Sd.Kfz.223. These will require some attention next week to complete and restore the frames. The fabrication of a new Antennenzubehor antenna accessories box is now complete with exception of some external and internal brackets.
The research into the radio rack for the Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie has resulted in a series of drawings which will be the basis of fabrication next week. The evolution of this radio rack has been researched and the first draft our research findings has been published this week in Inside Track. Forthcoming Inside Track articles will feature all additional findings on this important rack identifying what is correct for our Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie. Current research concerns how the U30 Umformer was fitted to the radio rack. This information once established will be added to the Fabrication Teams tasks.
Jagdpanther 411 spark plugs, oil bath air filters have all been cleaned and serviced. The Jagdpanther has run on a number of occasions this week and is sounding very good. The last remaining issue was the wiring in the starter related loom which required attention.
Delayed delivery of a number of vital components is leading to some aspects of this Sd.Kfz.223 armoured car project being delayed. Some very special items for the other armoured cars are either in the UK or on their way. More about them when they arrive. Have a good weekend everyone!!!
