Kettenkrad, Maybach NL38 TR, Zundapp KS750, le.Pz.Sp.Wg

On all fronts

A very active week on many fronts. We have just started on the Foundation’s Zundapp KS 750. It has been stripped down leaving the engine to be done this weekend. All of the new items are to be replaced with originals.

The late armoured car chassis is taking shape. The research into its original tactical use is nearing completion. All of the research findings are covered in Inside Track our online magazine.

We have finished stripping the Maybach NL38 TR engine used in Pz1. The block and ancillary colours have been analysed and will be painted when reassembled. Cleaning and blasting all components is continuing at pace. We are looking for someone to make patterns from the inlet and outlet manifolds for the engine.

Another member of the team has stripped the water header tank from the Kettenkrad as part of the overhaul of the vehicle. We will repair the tank which has many holes in the casing. Have a great weekend.
