The Foundation is pleased to announce our Autumn Members Event, for members and their guests, will take place here on 23 November 2024.

This event will take a different and exciting format compared to our previous Autumn events. With a more personal setup, we plan to:

• Unveil the ‘new arrival’ here at the Weald Foundation. This is a restoration project we have waited a long time for. It will have only just arrived and you will be the first to see you see it! A short talk will introduce the project.
• A tour of our various workshops will give you the opportunity to see the progress thus far on our Sd.Kfz.261 (Ausf.B) 5.Serie – a sort of Milestone Event given that this vehicle will no longer be in this state of disassembly by the time of the next event. Our expert team will be on hand to discuss any questions you may have.
• Our Assembly Hall will be accessible to all of you to see the progress of the Sd.Kfz.223 belong to the TWC.
• Alongside will be our completed Sd.Kfz.223 (Ausf.A) 3.Serie and Sd.Kfz.222 (Ausf.A) 4.Serie which have had numerous further additions since their launch. These armoured cars will be available for members to view internally. Such access was not possible during the launch of either vehicle given the tight programmes and numbers involved at those events.

Each attendant will be allowed a certain amount of time to access and examine the interiors. As other Members and Guests will also avail themselves of this great opportunity, time will be limited. Our only stipulation is that these fully equipped interiors may not be photographed at any time. This regrettable decision had to be taken given the years of research to achieve a high level of accuracy. At all times staff and trustees will be available to help.
