The steering for the Schwimmwagen was fully addressed this week. She was taken for a number of test drives to ensure she was responding well.
We had a film crew and presenter here yesterday. Jagdpanther 411, Black Sea StuG, 1 Ton Zugmaschine, Kfz 21 and the Panjewagen and Infantry cart all saw the light of day. All performed well save for the StuG which ran out of fuel as it was not expected to be run on the day. Fuel addressed she ran very well.
The wire frame drawings for the SdKfz 223.3 Serie are now complete, as are the SdKfz 222 4.Serie drawings. The 5.Serie SdKfz 261 will be completed today. The patterns for each panel will then be printed out individually and will be compared to all of our existing panels and adjusted accordingly. Our new original armoured hulls will be more accurate that they were originally.
We have now established the complete angled steering box set up for our armoured cars. We are very fortunate in having all of the relevant parts and will have to locate or fabricate a copy of the earlier housing and later top cover.
