The interior of the Renault FT is now complete. The leather straps have yet to be cut and fitted to the exterior and interior to hold the various items of kit. The camouflage of the exterior of the Renault FT has started in earnest. This is being done by the renowned artist and sculptor Guy Portelli given the intricate and complicate detail of what was applied so proficiently in the Billancourt assembly halls all those years ago. The tracks are being assembled now. The Idler wheels are now ready to be fitted to the track adjuster wishbones. We hope to complete everything for the FT next week and attention will then shift to the Renault TSF where the carpentry team from France are fitting the radio operators table and insulation boards around the inside of the TSF turret.
