The rush to complete the painting of the exterior in the tan/khaki was completed before the end of the week in readiness for the exterior camouflage to be started by our celebrity artist Guy Portelli who did such a wonderful job on the Renault FT. The battery boxes were returned by the sign writer ready for the next phase which is the dressing of each box with hinges, coffin straps, handles and catches. This work is reserved for the beginning of next week. The tools required are being forged by our blacksmith using period images and drawings with sizes. This will add to the finish of the Renault TSF in no small way. The seats and leather straps for the interior and straps for the exterior are going to be fitted next week when our leather specialist the saddler arrives. The track links and chains are being blasted and painted to be collected mid week next week. The end date should be Friday in time for some test driving before the Open Day on Saturday!!
Have a good weekend from us all.
