The Schutzschild turret for our Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie is nearly there. The missing right hand grenade net is underway. The flat panels which will be folded over to house the mesh are underway. Drawings are being used to complete the small details within the turret. Additional larger requirements within the turret are being attended to such as the 2cm KwK rear and forward brace.
The instrument panel support frame has been fabricated with the required spacer tubes. The support frame will be fitted to the instrument panel when finally completed. The material for the instrument panel is now in hand and will be started shortly.
The headlamp casings are with us and are to be replicated once we have delivered them to a specialist here in the UK next week.
The radio frame is almost finished. The two vertical strip sections allowing assembly to the turret will be fabricated next week together with the radio fixing points.
