Final flourishes to the instrument panel for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie and upgraded Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie armoured cars. The detail regarding the fitting of each individual instrument with the small Kontrollampe warning lights being the current and last part of this focus.
Fitting of the Schwenkarm forward support arm for the 2cm Kw.K cannon is underway. Machining of the rear 2cm Kw.K stay is also being executed at present.
The floor plate detail is well down the road with the Research and Auto CAD Team plotting the exact outline with supports required for the rear floor area between the gun and the firewall. The findings have been posted in our online magazine Inside Track this week.
We dropped the Riemann headlamps off at our headlamp specialist. These will be faithfully copied to be ultimately fitted to the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie, Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie and the Sd.Kfz.261 5.Serie once completed.
We are awaiting the Schutzschild turret mesh. Once this has been delivered we will be able to complete the grenade net covers for the turret. A different mesh is also being manufactured to the correct design for the firewall. This area has also been completed save for the fitting of the mesh to the assembly.
