All hands are on the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie targeting the launch date on the Open Day. The focus this week has been the turret assembly. This work will continue next week as soon as the turret ring is back from being machined. The original armoured panel sections are mow ready to be fully integrated to make the complete Schutzschild turret. This will have to wait for the next two weeks to be done.
The large side stowage bins for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie are being plotted by our CAD specialist. The hinges required for the bin have been sourced and are on order. The stowage bin will be be started on once the turret is complete.
We are awaiting the wood for the instrument panel of the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie and the upgraded Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie. This will be machined next week.
Magnificent original images of the camouflage scheme for our early SARC Marmon Herrington Mk III have been sourced. We already have the colours scientifically matched in readiness for the completed project which is unfortunately years out.
