The lubrication lines were fitted to the chassis of the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie replacing the damaged or badly aged examples. The spacers and bolts were fitted to the Radpanzer armoured hub covers. One of the 4 originals has been misplaced and there is a continuing search underway to locate it. The research for the exact hue of external paint colour has been determined. The findings have been published in this week’s Inside Track.
All of the wheel nuts for the Sd.Kfz.223 4.Serie have been blasted and primed and fitted to the chassis. A lot of toing and froing regarding the steering linage arm for this chassis is going on given the complexity of the angles and wire cutting required for the splines.
The 2nd Jagdpanther gearbox work has been completed. The gearbox has been cleaned and is currently being reassembled. This is in order to focus on the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie engine which has yet to have the cylinder head gaskets fitted.
We located another small Querlenker (wishbone) for the Sd.Kfz.261 5.Serie suspension. This fulfills the quota for the small variety. This chassis will replace that of the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie once it leaves the Fabrication Workshop and moves to the Final Assembly/Machining Workshop.
More very rare items have been secured this week. They will assist the projects for the Sd.Kfz.250 Ausf. A and B examples in our future project list.
