We have at last managed to secure a 2m Stab antenna to be fitted to the antenna mount on the turret of the Sd.Kfz.222 4 Serie. This is great news as this adds to the now complete assembly of the antenna base, antenna foot for the Sd.Kfz.222. Conservation work on the chassis rolls on slowly. Beginning of the breakthrough in understanding the differences between Sd.Kfz.222 Ausf.B assembled by Bussing Nag and Schickau!
We managed to secure the final double fuel gauge for our Sd.Kfz.261 5 Serie. This is the 3rd we have secured over the years and closes the hole in the instruments required for the last vehicle in our le.Pz.Sp.Wg range.
Work has continued on the gearbox for the Sd.Kfz.223 4 Serie. The focus has been on the oil pump beneath the casings and now on the protective cover for the oil pump. The lubrication lines and their fittings are all missing from the gearbox and will need to be resolved in due course.
Research into the Panjewagen has started in earnest and will be published in due course in our online magazine Inside Track as it becomes available.
