The chassis projects have made progress especially that of the 4 Serie Sd.Kfz.223 of the Wheatcroft Collection. This chassis has been fully checked over for cracks and external corrosion faults. These cracks and faults have all been cut out, re welded and dressed. The chassis has been primed with red oxide and is now being assembled. Parts are been repaired or replaced where necessary as this assembly evolves. The current focus is on the internal of the chassis – brake rods, gear levers, oil lubrication hubs etc.
The tap heads for all of our armoured car projects have now been drawn and are now ready for printing. The Ablasshahn or stop cock tap has been put out for 3D printing.
We are planning to purchase a CNC vertical machining centre and to upgrade our existing mill.
The conservation work on the 4 Serie Sd.Kfz.222 continues. Still on the first wheel station as the post war paint was applied very thickly.
The transfer cases for the Marmon Herrington Mk III are on their way and expected soon.
