A tremendous amount of progress has been achieved this week on the Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie project. Nearly all of the external fabrication and refurbishment has been completed. The large side bin still requires catches and some small detail. Small fittings continue to be created for the antenna frame. The device will only be assembled and fitted once the interior of the Sd.Kfz.223 is ready to take it.
The additional restroom facilities are under way. This is being done to cater for the large number of people expected on our our Jagdpanther Open Day in June.
A few additional parts have been secured over the week. The rare fire extinguisher base required for the Sd.Kfz.223 has yet to be started on. This requires the straps and clasps which distinguish these from other fire extinguishers. A universal drive shaft for the Sd.Kfz.250 arrived and has been put into the stores in readiness for this project. This was one of the parts identified as required for one of the Sd.Kfz.250.
