The team pressed on with the front fenders for the Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie. There are differences between these and the those we have fabricated for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie reflecting the different assemblers. The right hand fender supports are being fitted. Left hand supports are already complete. The small top bins within the fenders are next.
The windscreen inserts for this 3.Serie early le.Pz.Sp.Wg. are progressing. These are quite the challenge given how rare they are. We are drawing the majority of the information from a rather sad original example. Some of the missing components are requiring interpretation and accurate dimensioning. The windscreen wiper blade and arm for example.
The MG 34 Drehsockel machine gun pedestal is now in the full focus of our research team. We have a tremendous amount of material and vital components which have been gathered together over many years. Some of the missing information was resolved this week
We are currently expanding our current visitor facilities. This is to facilitate the growing visitor numbers at our Open Day and other organised group visits.
