The chassis for the 3 Serie Sd.Kfz 223 continues to be reassembled. The wheel stations on the front of the chassis are coming together fast. More of the correct paint for the component parts was ordered to allow touching up parts that had been scuffed or missed. Other components now have to be sourced for the cable brake assembly. The brake drums will require skimming which will be attended to next week. The hinges we had made are now underway with delivery expected in 2 weeks. This will allow the doors to be mounted on the body which will then be tucked away safely in storage giving us more space in the workshop until we can get back to focus on the body. This should be in 3 months time.
Research on taps and fittings for the engine bay, crew cabin interior continues. Some of this information will require another return visit to Fort Benning to study their very good 4.Serie Sd.Kfz 223.
Prices are now in hand for the items required for the second JP project. The details must be checked again for one final time before we submit a final order for these parts. The administrative documentation in preparation for the export import of Jagdpanther 411 is currently underway in readiness for our attendance at Militracks in May.
Have a good weekend
