Work focussed on the visors for the Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie. We made all of the studs for the fittings such as the vision block holders, fabricated and renovated the vison block holders and the other plate visor fittings. The cast vision slits will be re rivetted back into position of the plate visors next.
The fuel tank tank retainer fittings were inserted into the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie engine bay. We trial fitted the right hand fuel tank.This is the proof copy for the batch of 4 required for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie and Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie.
The turret drawings for the Sd.Kfz.222 4.Serie were moved on significantly. This turret is the only surviving Ausf. A turret but it is missing a few sections which have to be incorporated into the existing. We will very shortly be publishing this research into the turret in due course in Inside Track.
We collected a number of extremely rare items from Europe over the past week which will be the subject of future Inside Track articles.
