The main radio rack for the TWC Sd.Kfz.223 is well underway, the water canteen holders have been determined using an archaeological fragment for confirmation. A long awaited original firewall section has only just arrived which will be repaired to replace the missing hinged top flap and the blasted and primed. This has already been straightened (lead image). The Verbandkasten first aid frames have been completed and will be fitted to their positions within the bodies of both the Weald Foundation and TWC Sd.Kfz.223 once the bodies of both have been blasted and primed. Grenade racks have been determined and built for our Sd.Kfz.223 3.Serie.
A new sandblaster and dust filter unit arrived today. This is being fitted and will replace our very old machine. All of our fixed line electricity circuits have been proofed over the past few weeks and the last few snagging items will be completed in the next week.
The drawings for the Australian LP1 carrier have taken a great step forward. Instrument panel, suspension, plan view, engine shroud, cooling shroud, side armour and rear panels. The small fittings are next – shovel brackets, Vickers MG ammunition box brackets will take a while to gather the information and then to draw it.
