The repair of the water header tank for the Kettenkrad is now complete and has now been rebuilt back into the engine compartment. The engine has been run and tested to see how the new tank performs. No leaks !! The Zundapp KS750 is taking large strides forward as the frame, fenders and sidecar frame have all received their final paint treatment. Origianl components have been sourced to replace all new that have been found on the bike from previous restorations. There are only four items now that we are looking for!! New mechanical items such as bearings, brake lines are about to replace the old worn items. The engine has been cleaned down extensively and the exhaust apparatus will receive two coats of heat resistant paint next week.
Many original parts are arriving that have been sourced for the various armoured car projects. Doors, exhaust shrouds, engine cylinder heads, handles and so on. The list required of items for the armoured cars Sd.Kfz 222, Sd.Kfz 223 Ausf A and Sd.Kfz 261 are narrowing. It has taken over 20 years to get this far. We are due to start in 2 months time once the housekeeping issues surrounding the Jagdpanther are completed.
